Electronic signatures

A signature records that a specific person approved a specific thing, for a specific reason, at a specific moment. It is bound to the record it approves and it travels with it.
How it works
- The meaning of a signature is explicit, so an approval and a review are not the same act
- Signing is tied to the signed-in person and cannot be delegated silently
- Where a second person is required, the system refuses an approval by whoever initiated it
- The signature is part of the record's history, not an attachment beside it
A signature is bound to what it approved, so an approval can always be traced to the person who gave it and the reason they gave it.
