Getting Started
Sign up, create a workspace, bring your team in.
No installation — CMS Life Science runs as a hosted service from the moment you sign up. This page walks through your first hour: your workspace, your team, and what to look at next.
Sign up & your first workspace
A workspace is provisioned the moment you sign up.
Sign up with your email and a workspace is created automatically — no separate install or environment setup. New workspaces start on the Evaluation tier with sample data so you can explore before connecting real systems.
- Email-based sign-up — no infrastructure to stand up first
- A workspace is provisioned automatically and ready immediately
- Starts on the Evaluation tier with sample data (see Deployment Options for what comes after)
- Everything you do afterward — connections, queries, dashboards — lives inside that workspace
Inviting your team
Bring people in by email — no shared logins.
Every teammate gets their own account and their own audit trail from day one.
- Invite by email from within the workspace
- Invite links expire after 7 days if unused
- New members default to Viewer access — the safest starting point
- Adjust a member's role after they accept, as their responsibilities are clear
- Every invite, acceptance, and role change is captured in the audit trail
Roles at a glance
Three starting roles cover most day-to-day work.
For finer-grained control — custom permission bundles assigned to specific individuals — see Roles & Access Administration.
